Last month we held our first lamp shade making workshop in our Melbourne factory. We have worked towards this for sometime, and we are beyond happy that we were able to finally put this on.

Each student left with a custom made lamp shade perfect for their own bedside table, kitchen nook or dining space. Held by our in-house lamp shade experts, the 2-hour intensive class began with a step-by-step demonstration of our bespoke custom lamp shade making process.

Participants used the very same components that our expert crafts people use to make our lamp shades in house. Fabric was available to select from our range of linen and woven fabrics, and students also had the option to bring their own fabric. To ensure a perfectly finished shade, learning the rolled edge technique is crucial, and the process is a true perfectionists' dream and nightmare at the same time!

We're happy to report, that everyone nailed their newly learnt skills beautifully. The finished lamp shades all looked fantastic and very professionally made.
